This week marks a big week for stations’ frequency changes with TV stations in multiple communities across the country scheduled to transition by January 17, 2020. If you live in a community listed below and use an antenna to access free, over-the-air television, you will need to rescan your TV or converter box to keep getting your local channels.

Rescanning your TV is free and relatively simple using your remote control, and you can find out all you need to know at TVAnswers.org. Many communities will go through several TV rescans so you may need to rescan your TV now and again in the future when additional TV stations in your area change frequencies. Rescanning will ensure you’re getting all of the available free channels provided by your local TV stations. In many cases, viewers find they receive more channels after they perform the TV rescan process.
