A TV Rescan May Be Coming to Your Community Next Week

Learn When You Need To Rescan Your TV

#PlanToRescan, #antennaTVRescan, #antennaTV

Heads up TV antenna viewers, more than 70 TV stations in states across the country are scheduled to move frequencies over the next two weeks to make room for wireless services. If you use an antenna to access free, over-the-air television and stations in your area move frequencies, you will need to rescan your TV or converter box to keep getting your local channels.

Here’s the key thing you need to know: you can’t rescan your own TV until after your local TV station has officially moved frequencies. So how do you know when that will happen? Sign up for text and email alerts today so that you know the exact day your favorite TV station moves frequencies. You can also visit TVAnswers.org to find out when stations in your area are moving and for other TV rescan information like how to troubleshoot if you’re still not getting a good signal.

If you live in one of the following states and use an antenna to receive local TV channels, don’t delay in checking to see if and when your local stations are moving. Make sure you sign up for the TV rescan alerts since rescan dates can change.

Rescanning your TV is relatively easy so don’t miss out on getting your local channels. Also remember that you may need to rescan your TV more than once since different stations are moving at different times. Be sure to follow us on FacebookInstagram and Twitter to stay up to date.

One or more stations in each of these states are scheduled to move frequencies over the next two weeks.
