A TV Rescan is Happening in 19 States Before March 13

Is Your Community Included?

As many as 81 TV stations in 19 states across the country will change frequencies between now and March 13 to make room for wireless services. If you’re one of the more than 72 million TV viewers who use an antenna to access free, over-the-air television, you will need to rescan your TV or converter box if stations in your community change frequencies.

You can enter your zip code here to find out if and when your local stations are set to transition. Even better, you can sign up for text and email alerts so that you know the exact day you need to perform a TV rescan. Rescanning your TV – which is free and requires only a few steps using your TV remote – will allow you to access all available channels in your local area. Your TV rescan will only be successful if you do it after the TV station changes its frequency, so it’s important to be alerted when the time is right to rescan. Keep in mind that TV rescan dates can change, so the text and email alerts from TV Answers will keep you informed real-time even if the schedule changes.

If you live in one of the following states and use an antenna to receive local TV channels, make sure you make a #PlanToRescan.

One or more stations in each of these states are scheduled to change frequencies between now and March 13:

Alabama
California
Colorado
Florida
Georgia
Illinois
Kansas
Louisiana
Maine
Maryland
Michigan
Missouri
New York
Ohio
Oregon
Tennessee
Texas
Virginia
West Virginia
