For a Sylvannia TV, when I tried Autoscan it now shows channel 2 on the #5 on my remote and I lost ch#5 station altogether???
Please, can you help? No Sylvannia TV brand is listed?
Hey there Carol. Sorry to hear about your issue. May you provide us with your zip code? This will help us to identify potential issues specific to your location.
I rescaned my tv and lost all my 65, 62 ,63 most of the 60 channels. And it doesn’t matter how many times you rescan I don’t get them back. I had them before and would like to get them back ! Help me !! Thanks
Hey there, Juliet! May you provide us with your zip code? This will better help us to identify issues specific to your location.
After KCBS (Channel 2) in Los Angeles changed frequency, my tv has a broken picture (pixelated badly) after I did the rescan. I’ve re-aligned my antenna and still no decent reception on channel 2.
Greetings Dave! We recommend contacting KCBS directly for troubleshooting help. You may also contact the FCC consumer hotline at 1-888-CALL-FCC and select Option 6. The hotline is open from 8 am – 1 am EST, 7 Days/Week.
With all this rescanning, no one has mentioned channel 3, which I used to use for my quaint old dvd player. I can no longer get a signal for channel 3, so I have no picture, only sound. Any info or suggestions appreciated!
Greetings Kathryn! Great question! Some sets will allow a user to manually add a particular channel that was missed during rescan; however, while all TVs have both analog and digital tuners, some do not allow the user to “force tune” to a particular channel, such as Channel 3. If you have a set that permits force tuning, you plug your DVD player into the antenna jack, tune to (or adds) Channel 3, and it should work as usual. We hope this helps!
This is terrible, I lost Austin CW 54.1, Stadium 19.1, Comet 19.2, and a number of sub-channels. On 55 mile antenna, went from 33 stations to 17 stations.
Consumer screwed again.
Greetings BJ. Sorry to hear you’ve lost stations following rescan. For troubleshooting help, we recommend reaching out to the FCC’s consumer hotline at 1-888-CALL-FCC, and select Option 6. The hotline receives calls from 8 am – 1 am EST, 7 Days/Week. We hope this helps!
